Public Sector Enterprises are also being evaluated as 
                    commercial entities expected to maximize returns on 
                    investment. Management of these PSEs are expected to take 
                    business decisions in a dynamic scenario with all the 
                    attendant risks and competition with Private/MNCs .
                    
                    
                    However the rules 
                    and regulation of the government as well as the guidelines 
                    issued by the vigilance commission from time to time cannot 
                    be ignored in the name of competition and for earning profit 
                    for the company.
                    
                    
                    An examination of 
                    very large number of vigilance cases in NPCC reveals the 
                    fact that officers are not aware of rules and guidelines issued by 
                    the government and the CVC on various issues and 
                    irregularities are committed due to lack of knowledge about 
                    them.

                    officials of the corporation from such situation , a booklet 
                    on Dos and Don'ts has been prepared by NPCC Vigilance in
